Business Description

Emaleigh qualified from the University of Auckland with Law and Arts degrees and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 2000.

She has had varied experience in law firms in the Auckland city fringe and CBD as well as suburban and semi-rural practices working in the property and commercial areas, trusts, asset protection, estates as well as civil, family, employment and criminal litigation. Emaleigh has appeared in the Employment Relations Authority,

Employment Court, District Court and High Court as well as having juniored with Queens Counsel. Her previous experience also includes providing legal services to an Australasian wealth management company (listed on theAustralian Securities Exchange (ASX:IFL) in the top 200 listed companies), as well as non-legal roles in the UK and USA including a management role within a business.

Emaleigh focuses mainly on company and commercial law with an interest in construction, subdivisions, retirement villages and general business advice.

Outside of work, Emaleigh is an active choir member and honorary solicitor for the New Zealand Choral Federation with any spare time taken up rock-climbing, at yoga, the theatre or art galleries.
